Ingredients
- 1 cup self-raising flour, sifted
- 1 teaspoon almond essence
- 1/2 cup flaked almonds
- 1/3 cup raw sugar
- 125g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 150g butter, softened
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons light sour cream
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 220g caster sugar
- 425g canpie apples
Instructions
- Beat butter, PHILADELPHIA, sugar and almond essence using an electric mixer until pale and fluffy.
- Add sour cream, ginger and eggs and beat until combined. Fold in flour and apple then spoon mixture into a lightly greased 24cm cake tin.
- Sprinkle almonds and raw sugar on top and bake in a moderate oven 180ºC for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.
