Cooking With Philly

PHILADELPHIA goes perfectly with, well, just about anything. Ramp up the wow factor of everyday ingredients with a dollop (or more – come on, you know you want to) of PHILADELPHIA. Here are a few ideas to get you going. But don’t stop here. Go wild.

Pizza:
For a twist on a traditional pizza, add pieces of PHILADELPHIA Block Regular or Light Cream Cheese instead of mozzarella and tasty cheese.  The outside of the PHILADELPHIA pieces will brown beautifully in the oven and remain hot and creamy on the inside.  PHILADELPHIA works with almost all pizza toppings so why not mix things up a bit and try PHILADELPHIA instead!

Omelettes & Scrambled Eggs:
For extra creamy omelettes or scrambled eggs, try adding a couple of Tbsps of. PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Light Cream Cheese to 4 eggs; whisk or stir until combined. Hits the spot!

Baked Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes:
Top baked potatoes or sweet potatoes with PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Light Cream Cheese; 1 Tbsp. per potato.  Don’t be shy, spoon on more if you like! Then a sprinkle of chopped chives or fresh dill might be good too.

Mashed Potatoes:
For fluffy mashed potatoes cut 6 potatoes into chunks and cook. Drain, mash and add 1/3 cup PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Chive & Onion Cream Cheese.

Fajitas:
When making fajitas, spread a small amount of PHILADELPHIA Spreadable Cream Cheese instead of sour cream on flour tortillas. Mexican heaven!

Cream Cheese Icing (especially good on carrot cake):
Beat 1 pkg (250 g) PHILADELPHIA Block Cream Cheese, softened, with 1/4 cup melted butter. Gradually add 2 cups icing sugar, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp finely grated lemon rind; beat until smooth, or until you can’t resist any more and lick the spoon!
